Class VIII France/Spain Trip
Students’ first international experience occurs on the annual Class VIII study tour to France and Spain. Students explore the historic and cultural sites of the countries that are part of their World Language curriculum, while also learning about the roots of the RSHM. The group flies to Paris, and travels to Béziers to visit the Mother House and meet the RSHM sisters who make it their home. Their tour extends to Carcassone to visit a medieval castle, to Figueres, Spain to the Dalí Museum, and on to Barcelona to observe Gaudi’s architecture and Picasso’s art. The trip engages students in hands-on learning, immerses them in the culture of France and Spain, and provides opportunities to strengthen old and forge new friendships among the girls.
